The Asia Community Development Organization (ACDO) is a national NGO dedicated to improving the lives, opportunities and resilience of crisis-affected and underserved communities across Afghanistan. Since 2014, ACDO has worked with communities, government ministries, UN agencies, donors, clusters, TWGs, and INGO partners to deliver humanitarian, recovery and development programs across diverse and often challenging contexts.
Our work responds to immediate humanitarian needs while investing in education, protection, WASH, nutrition, food security, livelihoods, climate resilience, community infrastructure and humanitarian response and recovery toward sustainable development.
We believe effective humanitarian and development action begins with local knowledge, community participation and accountability. We combine our deep understanding of Afghanistan's diverse contexts with professional systems, technical expertise, evidence-based programming and recognized humanitarian and development standards to deliver programs that are inclusive, safe, accountable, effective and sustainable.
ACDO is committed to ensuring that women, girls, boys, men, persons with disabilities and other groups facing barriers are able to participate in and benefit from programs that affect their lives.
Our Commitment is to work with communities, not simply for communities. Through locally led action, strong partnerships and responsible stewardship of resources, ACDO seeks to contribute to a safer, more inclusive, resilient and prosperous Afghanistan where people can access essential services, strengthen their capacities and build pathways toward a better future.
Together with our communities and partners, we turn needs into action, action into results, and results into lasting change.
We believe in the power of collective compassion. Through dedicated efforts and inclusive programs, we support vulnerable communities.
We work closely with communities to identify real needs and deliver dignified, transparent assistance.
